I just talked to my dad on the phone and asked him if he voted. He lives in Florida and voted early on Saturday. He waited in line for five hours but he said that it wasn't too bad. Everybody was in good spirits and spent the time conversing on line. Volunteers from the Obama campaign said that they couldn't come to the line but that people on line could come to them for granola bars and water. He said that on Sunday waits were up to eight hours but that today things seem to be going a little smoother.

The spoiler (for Democrats) in 2000 is running again this year. But this year Ralph Nader does not figure to garner enough support to influence the election either way.

-Of the nine voters who voted for McCain, five said that they didn't think he cares about the youth vote. I guess this is why McCain didn't consider Stony Brook a battleground county.
